C25K W1 R2 of 3

Boy oh Boy! that run was much harder than it was on Monday...perhaps because I pushed myself to keep a 9:05 pace for each interval this time...I'm dog tired masser...dog tired! But I feel great! Now that I have "learned" to sweat...feeling it run down my face, back and even chest is revitalizing!

One thing I did tonight that I didn't do on Monday to be mindful of the music I selected for my cool down. I turned on my "Workout Jams" playlist on Monday...and I kept walking for another mile...but my bum hurt yesterday and still today. After talking with a few other runners...this program is designed to not exceed the program time limit...so I should just do a cool down once my music stops...so tonight I turned on my "Chill" playlist...I have definitely cooled down much faster tonight than I did on Monday. Ok...so sitting on the floor of my hotel room with the temp moved down to 65 with only my skivvies and sports bra on has helped too...

Now I'm just chilling listening to my calming music...downing water and typing...trying to decide when I'll get my third run in for the week.

Good run!

AWESOME!!! It sounds like a great run! The only reason I used the track is because I was able to put the kids in the nursery. It's an outdoor track right behind the gym. There were at least 20 people walking and jogging on it this afternoon, though. Talk about scary! I don't have a jogging stroller and have no idea if I could jog pushing a regular stroller if I had to take the kids with me. I am ready to go again! I hurt a little, though. Thank goodness I had pineapple juice at home! I could barely get out of the car after driving home. My inner thighs were so sore already! One thing I noticed is that when I go to a class or just get on the treadmill, I am so chilled when I get home because of the wet clothes. Last night I was shaking and shivering before I got in the tub. After running today, I was so hot everywhere. My pulse was still 120 when I got home. It consistently staying in the 160-170range on the track. I looked at that site you suggested in your last post. The closest walk mapped from here is a 4 1/6 mile.

The thing about that site is you can design your own path if your don't like their posted one. Where I live...my development isn't even on the map...so I get creative when I map my routes.

I'm like you where I stay warmer after a run than I do a regular workout. But being inside or out doesn't impact that for me. typically when I run inside on a treaddy, I find one that has a fan pointed on it. That helps me stay cooler.

It sounds like you did great for your first run...my butt and shins are hurting right now! but soreness is good, right?! No pain, no gain?! LOL and your heart rate sounds good too! By the end of the trainings you will notice that your heart rate will start to settle much faster as you are conditioning it as well as your lungs, with your exterior muscles.

YAY!!!

I'll try the mapping my own route. I really don't want anywhere with hills, though! lol I need flat! My legs are hurting a little bit. Core muscles are a little sore. The outsides of my calves are sore. After about the 5th or 6th jog I had a side stitch, but it wasn't bad enough to stop me. :)
